SANITARY DISTRIBUTIONS OF HOT AND COLD WATER AND COMPRESSED AIR

As said before the system is universal and suitable also for sanitary installations. In developed world the PE-X material is most frequently used for sanitary installations (by reason of lower resistance to chlorine the PPH material is practically unknown there). The key dimension is represented by a pipe 16 without the oxygen barrier. Utilization of metal-plastic pipe PEX-AL-PEX is also suitable since it offers plumbers stability of piping during work. It is recommended to use the said dimension especially for domestic hot water (DHW) distributions, wherever the distance from the source is more than 3m. With this pipe dimension the water flow speed exceeds 4 m/s and the time delay and cold water outflow from DHW distributions are minimized. Individual consumption points are connected separately via floor using the shortest possible route and slight bends with the exclusion of sharp-edged shaped pieces. Cenové relace 1This system is also recommended for apartment houses, where circulating piping ensures circulation in ascending lines. Further distribution to consumption points is performed as described above. For these purposes the company supplies pressed wall pieces 1/2“ /16. This dimension is also suitable for showers and baths. If a larger profile is needed, the classical wall piece or the bend and the D/G reduction piece are used. Utilization of the REVEL-PEX system for DHW distributions is also necessary wherever a tank heating for hot water exceeding 60 °C is used, i.e. especially in family houses and kitchens with hot household water distribution system. More extensive utilization of the REVEL-PEX material in sanitary installations was prevented by the absence of larger profile pipes. The REVEL company compensates this shortage by offering a 50×5.6 dimension pipe added with screwed, highly reliable and reasonably priced fittings with inner reinforcement (insert). The pipe again does not require solution of length changes and it is designed for direct laying into concrete or wall assembly. It is important to realize that assembly differs from the common method used for the PPH material, i.e. from installed wall plates and wall pieces vertically to floors to the main inlet and DHW source (similarly to radiator systems). Common assembly method from the times of zinc-plated pipes reproduced in case of PPH pipes is probably the greatest obstruction for development of PE-X utilization for drinkable water and DHW distributions in our country. Brass distributors in profile 1“ are used for water. These are supplied as two parts because the numbers of outlets for cold and hot water are usually not identical. If dimensions of single pipes´ outlets are different too, it is necessary to specify it.

The REVEL-PEX system has been gaining on popularity also for making distributions of compressed air. The material is resistant to oils and its distributions through the floor to consumption points are very cheap and interesting for investors, e.g. in case of car repair facilities or assembly plants with pneumatic tools.
