Air-water heat pumps are used for heating of buildings and hot water with increasing frequency. Right now, when the installation of heat pump receives an interesting subsidy from the state, we are witnessing even wider commercial use.

Air-water heat pumps are environmentally friendly because they can produce more energy than what is hidden in the coal underground, even before it is touched by a human hand.

The principle is quite old and simple. As contained in the device name, the heat pump pumps heat from one area to another, using special substances (refrigerants). Read the air-water heat pump - principles.

Choice of heating system - floor heating or radiators

Principle of the air-water heat pump implies that we should supply electricity through low-temperature system - preferably a floor system (wet, dry or semi-dry) with the mean temperature of the medium about 33 °C. Use of a radiator is not excluded, however, a reduction in device efficiency by approx. 20 % compared with underfloor heating must be taken to account. If you choose to do so, it is appropriate to use convectors with forced air movement, that is, with fans (wall units, freestanding or floor).

On the other hand, the cooled space - exterior - can have different temperature values. The ground temperature is relatively stable, and according to the experience, the area around the bore hole stabilizes at about -2 °C. The air temperature in winter usually ranges between -7 °C to +13 °C and the mean air temperature in the heating season is approximately +3 °C. There is already an apparent temperature gain of five degrees compared to ground.

Air-water heat pumps and water heating

Is also very suitable to use air-water heat pumps for heating of the water in the outdoor pool during the transitional period when the air temperature is around +15 °C and water temperature is +28 °C. Under these conditions, the air-water heat pump reaches efficiency up to 6:1. Preparation of hot water in summer is also very efficient (operationally about 3 CZK/day) and the installation of solar panels does not pay off. Heating of the water must be done in two stages - preheating in the boiler with hot water cylinder and electric reheating in a second container. Boilers are affordable standard products on the market.

There is global trend toward the use of air-water heat pumps. The reasons are the price (bore holes and surface ground receivers are expensive) and ecology. Variable air temperature is the normal state of nature, frozen ground all year-round is not.

However, this is not a prerequisite and after the project documentation is processed, you are the master of our decisions. You can therefore ask other trained companies in your area for developing and supply quotations.

We supply air-water heat pumps that are designed for specific use. Heat pump LWR-8kW has a higher output temperature and is suitable for radiator systems (equipment can only heat). By contrast, the heat pump LWRc-8kW is focused on the use of low-temperature systems and it can heat and cool. It has a built-in electric boiler as a backup or bivalent heat source. Changing the code in the control system will achieve a start-up while the defrosting of the evaporator is running, which is suitable for connection of the heat pump with ventilation systems.

Both types of air-water heat pumps extract the knowledge of the latest development in air-water heat pumps and using a rotary compressor in this case acquires very decent parameters. Even though the fan of the air-water heat pump has a low noise, you should not think about placement of the equipment under the bedroom windows. It is also appropriate to install the equipment (if possible) without a firm connection with the construction of the building and on the warmest outside wall of the house. Use of the universal box for the connection (USP) allows installation of additional air-water heat pump to virtually any existing heating system.

At the same time, the company produces and supplies copper radiators (e.g. convectors with wooden tiles in accordance with the interior) with additional ventilators and continuous power output control, therefore, the products are suitable for use with air-water heat pumps (floor heating bodies may also cool below the condensation limit).
